It is a white- flesh fish and its taste is slightly sweet and delicate. Chitol can be cooked in many ways, but the most popular is Gada Piece preparation. Pieces of Chitol are marinated with turmeric, chili powder, salt, sugar, and onion paste. Then they are fried in mustard oil until they are golden brown.
